I’ve been told that PSA is opening a location in Denver NC. Just checked the FakeBook page for Denver Defense and they have posted that PSA has purchased their business with the idea of expanding the retail space. Very interesting. First retail location in NC.

The Triad Action Shooting Club (TASC) is a NC Non-profit corporation. Its range, located ten miles south of Thomasville, has five covered firing lines with shooting benches. The firing distances are from 25 to 100 yards.

TASC is accepting new member applications from anyone who can demonstrate that he/she can pass a criminal background check. Possessing either a valid Concealed Carry License or a current Pistol Purchase Permit satisfies the background check requirement.

Admittance to the club is not automatic. Many applicants are turned away for unsafe gun handling or failure to follow rules.

Those who are interested should send an email to capmonty@aol.com.

H2O Fowl Farms, Dunn, NC

Haven't been yet but they have a good website and I did talk with them on the phone. Sounds good.

Colemans Creek in Ellerbe is my go to range.
8 ranges from 100 yards out to 1 mile.
$500 for yearly membership. You can go anytime the range is open and stay all day for no extra fees. It's run by great people too.

I go to the Rowan county Wildlife Association's range just outside of Salisbury. We have rifle, many handgun ranges and shotgun. Shotgun and rifle are open to public. Take a look at https://www.rcwanc.com/ for full details. BTW if someone wants to go I am always looking for any excuse to head to the range and I can bring up to 2 non-members as guests. Just contact me if you are interested
The ONLY portion open to the public is the clay target sports, NOT anything else. Waiting list for membership....

Looking for outdoor/indoor (with ac/heat) range close to Pittsboro. Thanks!
Try Woody's. It currently has a range to 550 yds and the 1000 yd range will open in next several months. Has pistol pits, too.

Also, the Wake County Firearms Education Center run by NC Wildlife may not be too far away. They have indoor ranges to 100 yds. Nice thing is it is free. However, the heating is iffy when it is down below 45 due to the air handling units.

Yes, they have an indoor range. If you buy a gun, you get one hour free range time. The range fee is $20 for all day...not a bad price. I haven't tried it yet but will do so soon.

Colemans Creek in Ellerbe is a great range. Multiple shooting bays and long range shooting out to 1 mile.
Membership or guest of a member required.

Last April GRNC held an Event at Hyatt Farms. It opened late last year. Over 600 acres of ranges. The day we were there, a bus was provided to shuttle us between the 3 facilities we were using.
Google maps doesn't have an updated picture. If you go, the GPS will take you tot he marker at the top. Take a truck or SUV. Once you turn off the highway, it's a dirt path for the next mile. The sign in/store is in the clearing at the bottom of the path going in. The green areas that have been cleared, are the different ranges.

The underlined Hyatt Farms in cricketdad's post is a link to the store's website. It says where the store is at the top of the page (Charlotte). The link for the range is under store info, it's a bit east of where the store is.
Silly me, should have used this link

Has anyone made one of those maps with any of these ranges yet? I know my NRA app has one, but it seems like it's a bit dated and incomplete.
Did i misunderstand you or did you say the nra is outdated , incomplete and has been at the helm of every gun restriction we have had placed upon us ?thye (nra) will say we prevented harsher legislation lmao oops i re-read the text lol

Today was my first visit to the John F Lentz Hunter Education Complex range a few miles east of Ellerbe. Really a nice place. The RSOs are serious about safety but are not tyrants/dictators. There are 3 ranges: 25 yd, 50 yd, 100 yd. There is also a skeet range and an archery range. Best of all, it is public and FREE. I used the 9 station 100 yd range. One of the RSOs used to work at Flintlock (Uwharrie) and said he is glad to be here.
