The company I worked for set up a quadraphonic(I know there's some military guys from the 70s out there that remember OR had these) sound system for the debut in Anchorage Ak....I sat through about 5 showings. We had to get it right of course. I'd like to have that system....4 500w mono McIntosh amps and JBL pros in the corners. You could almost hear Luke wet his pants when he got his first Xwing ride... :thumbsup:

I wish I still had the stereo system that I brought back from Japan back in 82, I had two Pioneer HPM 1100 speakers, they were state of the art at the time, 15 inch graphite woofers and foil super tweeters, they were rated at 500 watts. Yeah it was loud but man you could feel the bass.

The first Star Wars movie was fantastic. The second was a little disappointing. The 3rd one plane out sucked! The second trilogy was a total waste of film. I hope they have recaptured the fun of the first movie.

I saw the first one in 77 when I was 5. I think I saw it about 12 times. I am at least as excited about this as you are lol. As an aside, if you have a console, Star Wars Battlefront is amazing.

After the disappointment of the prequels, I'm waiting to see the movie until I find out if it sucks or not. And I'm fully expecting it to suck. Not to mention, every other J.J. Abrams movie has been total crap visually (why are there lens flares everywhere?! And why is this a desirable effect that was added in post?!), and I expect more of the same. I'm expecting some crap like the new Star Trek movies mixed with the Star Wars prequels. I could very well be wrong, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

If it turns out not to be total crap, I probably still won't watch it in the theater though... very few if any movies are worth paying $30+ for just tickets.
