My wife and I both got a FPK kit (all matching numbers, 1 serial number apart). Mine did not come with a reciever and hers did. No biggie I will just bend my own. However my local ffl said it would be $40 for the transfer (going up to $50 after new years) and the seller must ship from an ffl.

I am trying to find someone in the durham/raleigh area that will accept a transfer for an individual for as cheap as possible. If you know of a cheap ffl in that area please let me know. If you are a ffl I can make it a "sweet" deal with a fresh batch of the wife's awesome swiss miss hot chocolate cookies. (3rd place at the state fair)

holy f, 40-50 for a ffl transfer? Your guy must be on drugs. The most expensive I've ever heard for one is 30... find a new guy and then let the old one know why he's losing business.

In Roxboro NC.
Not quite $15, but can hook you up in the Nashville/Rocky Mount area for $25.

NOTE: Can give you a phone # to call, I am not a FFL.

Goin up to $50  ... if it who I think it is Dan IS going crazy. I don't know how much Bruce will charge but he is a good smith and might be able to help out. Give him a call 336-599-1084 and see what he charges. He is just west of Roxboro and that might help save gas and time also.

Little more info on Bruce, his last name is Walsh and his company is County Gunsmithing and he has been around over 20 years.
