RE: Eagle Guns, Concord, NC

Their hours are different from the first post on this thread. The range is open 9am to 9pm Monday through Saturday. Closed Sundays.
I have been several times since my last post and have not been disappointed. In fact, I had a brain fart and left an empty magazine in one of the lanes. It was too late to call that night when I discovered it missing. I went to the range the next morning as soon as it opened and the range officer was in the process of looking up my demographics to contact me. He said he knew I was the owner of the magazine for he remembered what lane I was in and the type of handgun I was using. I was impressed. I will not do that again but I am also glad to see some honesty in this world.

I think those are the original hours for the store before the range was built. I have been there once so far I was thinking of going this weekend hopefully while its cool out it was a bit toasty last time i went. :burn::usa::NCGO:

Going when it is cool is very wise. On those 95+ days I figure I lost 10lbs by perspiring. If it is a hot day the morning temperature is very kind to these old bones. Have a great time shooting. Maybe we will cross paths in there some time soon. :draw:

Nice folks, great prices on firearms - just forget about the range until October or November, it's a sweat lodge.
Me and Nato were there on Wed and it was bad.
I figure that the Flying Saucer tonight was splitting their AC bill with Eagle Guns. We opted to head elsewhere after a time, emphasizing the point that it's just too dang hot out to do anything fun... shoot... drink.. you name it!!

Eagle Gun Range, Concord NC

Even though I am currently a member of Shooters Express in Belmont, I recently had the opportunity to shoot at the newly opened Eagle Gun range in Concord. Beautiful range, 16 tactical capable. Great viewing area with couches. Very large showroom, and very reasonably priced at about $250/year single membership, as compared with the crooks up at Pointblank, who want nearly $500/year for almost the identical range. In addition, i found the majority of those who work at PB to be completly ignorant of firearms. If you sell Glocks, you should know what a Gen 3 and Gen 4 is, and what the differences are. In addition, I spent about 40 minutes out of my 70 or so minute visit waiting for multiple attempts to fix the targeting system. Then some guy comes in and tell me I have leave becuase there is a long line. When I tell him I have spent nearly all my time waiting on repairs, his only response to me is "calm down!) So much for my all day pass. Then I leave a message for the manager to voice my displeasure, and HE never calls me back. Beautiful customer service, I guess only VIP members who pay several THOUSAND dollars are entitled to good customer service. The fact that Pointblank carries a large selection of womens apparel, does zip for me. Nor do their ridiculously priced guns and ammo. Would someone really pay $700 + tax for a Glock G19? Not me thats for sure. Or pay $18/box for Blazer aluminum ammo? Again, not me. Eagles guns are much more reasonably priced, and their ammo prices are about even with Walmart. When my Shooters membership expires in Nov, Eagle is where I am headed. When I called to ask about membership rates, the OWNER got on the phone to speak with me. He told me that they were currently full, but since I had done business with them, he gave me his PERSONAL cell phone and told me to call him when I was ready to join. Now THATS customer service!

$250/year is reasonable? Nope. Does sound like really service though!

I understand that you don't like PB, but let's keep this thread about this range/store and not about the other.

$250/year for unlimited range time. I pay $200 at shooters express and it has gone up. I will save considerable gas driving from UNCC area to concord instead of Belmont. Besides shooters is really really old and kind of decrepit. Great staff though!!

The one-time initiaion fee for Patriot Gun Club is $1200. After that a family membership is $75/month, which includes after hours access and a number of other benefits. The cost is not for everyone and I am sure that people enjoy whatever range they themselves feel they are most welcome at and get the most personal benefit from.

Ashecht, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we are very happy that you found the right range for you at Eagle Guns! Now, ya better be sure to take your camera with because we're counting on you for lots of range reports and photos as you get the most out of your new membership there. :)

Eagle G & R was very nice to me Tuesday. I arrived when they were shooting an AK47 on the right side. The range officer did not hesitate in opening up the left side so it would be a little easier on the ears. I have good hearing protection but it is still nice to shoot in the quieter areas.

I think we actually pay about $250 for an annual membership at MWC (outdoors) but that comes with the added benefits of the clubhouse, archery range, fishing pond, etc. And who can pass up the bird's eye view of landing gear of the big jets as they approach Charlotte Douglass right over the treetops! :D

No indoor range I Charlotte are is that cheap. PB is nearly $500 for single , over 600 for family. Patriot gun cub is in the thousands
Sportsman in Rock Hill is 150 per year
...and you can fill up yer tank with cheap SC gas AND stop at Frugal MacDoogal's to stock up the bar on the way back.

I love me any excuse to go to SC these days. :D
