May come up on Sunday, would someone post a report from the show. Dixie is usually pretty good but just in case if there is no reason to go. I can save the gas and miles on my truck.

RE: Dixie Gun Show Raleigh May 6 - 7 "Raleigh"

Got back an hour ago. Not too crowded so there was plenty of sightseeing room. Several vendors I talked with all said it was very slow - lots of looking, not much buying. Gun prices were still up where they have been pretty much. ammo? Didn't look for deals since I don't need ammo. Just wandered around to see if anything jumped out at me. $1600 for a used Colt Python with 2-1/2 barrel and $950 for a S&W Model 19-3 did jump out at me. But not for buying purposes! I did overpay for a cup of coffee to drink while walking around. Lots of reloading stuff is back available.

Anyone happen to notice if any vendors were selling any of those M92's Zastava AK pistols? Can't seem to find one locally anywhere. Was thinking about dropping by, but didn't want to waste $10 if nobody was selling one.

The guy with the Python did have some other nice Smith's and a Diamondback, but his prices were a bit high.

There was another guy who had a nickel 19-3, 4 inch listed at 825 but he was down to 750 when I left his table.

He also had a nickel S&W Triplelock, first one I've seen in a long time, asking 1250.

Thanks if I can I may head up tomorrow. Good to hear about the reloading stuff and ammo prices being down. Would like to find a good 1911 full size for a good price that catches my eye.

I'm planning on going to the Winston show end of this month. Is it usually better to go early (best selection) or late (hungry vendors looking to cover their nut)?

Personally, I saw a lot of stuff late Sunday afternoon that I was not in the market for at some pretty low prices. Saw 500 rds of 9mm reloads for a little over 80 bucks and was very tempted. Then I saw one vendor had Ruger AR556 for less than 500 which about blew me away, I paid over 6 for the wife's. I saw Kimber 1911's for right at 700 and was very tempted as I ma in the market for 1911, but it was not exactly what I'm looking for. I was tempted by a Colt 1991 competition for about 750, but again not exactly what I was looking for. The wife was tempted by the Glocks with the slide serration designs but they were a little high for her. But overall, I saw a lot of looking, some decent prices, a lot of the same old merchandise as before the election, and some guys that were just plain over pricing their stuff. If I can get the same gun at Academy or one of my LGS for the same price you are selling it for at somewhere I am paying admission to, then you probably won't get my business.
I did buy a nice Kershaw knife set with a free gift (metal field spork) for less than $30 so that was pretty sweet.

There were two vendors that had the Ruger ARs for under $500 out the door. If I was looking for another AR I'd have picked one up.
