So,...........It's a great day in paradise where every day is a holiday and, every meal's a feast :D

This morning, I slept in after 4am which is unusual for me.

I saw on the news Dianne Warwick was down to her last 1000 and owed 10million in taxes.
I remember when she did a charity appearance back in the day and charged the charity twice what they brought in for the appearance.

Do I feel sorry for her not being able to live like an elite any longer? NO

It was brought to my attention that she was Whitney Houstons aunt.
Now I really don't follow the Hollywood scene but what crossed my mind was this.

Well Whitney is not going to have to ever worry about this problem. She's dead. No problems.

I have been behind on my work. Car, the only one left running at the moment is leaking at the water pump now. The fuel door wouldn't open "switch" and I had to cut through the trunk liner to get to the actuater to open it.
I could go on and on whining about all the problems I have but I won't.

I have embraced them. They let me know I am still alive. If I have problems it's good. When I don't have problems any longer, I'll be dead.
What doesn't kill me makes me stronger. Marines been saying that long before the song.
Any day above ground is a good day

So, I say to you, these minor life issues are a blessing. When you go and deploy to a hostile foreign land, it's the small things that we take for granted that you miss.
Oh yea, my riding mower is broke now too. oh, joy, ughhh. another blessing :hilarious:

So, I thought well, I have been swapping sights and optics around. I need to zero the TR21R Trijicon and rezero the Matech flip up BUIS.

I went out when the sun rose. I shot and made adjustments to the iron sights until my quarter sized groups were in the center. It was fun. As long as I've been shooting, I was tickled.
Then I did the same with the old TR21r that I had got from FrontLine Defense some time ago.
That sight is sweet! I was thinking "On a Wednesday cold March morn, could a man have more fun than this?!!!:)

So, I decided I needed to run a couple mags through my Glock for practice. It's been awhile.

I moved way on up to the 15 yard line.
I shot some Mags through my RIA 1911, rapid action drills from not looking to look and draw.

I had a new Ruger SR1911 Magazine that performed flawlessly. The ACT-MAG that came with the gun kept hanging on chambering the last round. I hate issues but at least I know it's the Magazine.

Then I shot the Glock and it performed flawlessly as expected! The G23 is awesome and is usually my carry pistol.

I then shot a Smith and Wesson Stainless 65-4 that I picked up cheap at an out of the way little gun shop.
This was the first chance I've had to shoot this one. Ooooooo, It is so sweet and i was tickled with happiness. I didn't want to stop shooting but I went through a box of ammo so I knew it was time to wrap it up.
Most of my shots were on target and none were off the pizza box.

So, what are guys up to today?

The GLOCK now has TruGlo TFO night sights not shown, which I absolutely love!!!

Gonna put up some fencing around the azaleas & see if that keeps the herd from gnawing them to nubbins.
Mow the weeds down, spread some weed & bug killer.
Get the car cleaned up & ride the bike while car is getting cleaned.

Not sure what else, but I am sure I can come up with something to work on around here. :)

I have to finish up a couple of service calls for my wife's pool and spa business. If I have any time left over I may go to the range and shoot. It depends on whether or not she finds something else for me to do. I need to clean the yard from that last winter storm. The water from the creek came up into the yard and brought pine needles and driftwood and stuff.
Used to I could do that stuff all day, but since my little heart problem, it seems I get more tired by the end of the day. If it keeps up I may go back to the doc and tell him.
I did put in a full day of work yesterday though and I'm grateful I can still do that.

Going to a fun shoot (mixture if IDPA, Steel Challenge & USPA stages).
Picking up more wood for firepit.
Having a cookout for the college kids that didn't get to go home this weekend. (Using the rotor recipe and claiming it is my own) :hilarious:
Remembering the reason this weekend is special...

Made an exchange at Fuquay Gun & Gold.
Could not leave without  over the Kimbers in the case!
I don't care what anyone else says but those dang guns are super sexy to me. :)
Heck, it's not Kimbers or Rugers or any brand name...it's 1911's.
I did make a purchase too.....some .45 snap caps.
The sales guy was working hard to get me to buy one but all I could do was  and fondle. :)
I need to call M or T and see if my ban can be lifted!

Oh and today, since I OC, a guy with a ZZ Top beard looking at Kimbers too, asked me if I was a LEO. Do I really look like one?

And yesterday at lunch, someone asked if I was one of my lunch dates wife!! :)

Putting out word for a small job- can't make my mind up go buy the tools, or pay someone. Cooking those ribs I've talked about, cleaning house. I/m also browsing paint colors for the house and building. I need a pressure washer or someone to do the house, most of the old paint will come off, then I can do a lil sanding and get to painting the house.

If you weren't so far away, I'd bring the tools and equipment and help you out. I could take care of the ribs:drool: while you washed the house.:D

Started the day with a pot of coffee, sausage and eggs. Vacuuming, cleaning etc.,in prep for the MIL visit. You know when they come around everything has to be perfect...lol Going to head out later and do an ammo search. Might try to hit the range later if the rain holds off. Got to find some sort of dead animal for the grill too. Somewhere in there I have to add in physical therapy.

Weed & bug killer put out.
Bought some stuff to spray on the azaleas to keep deer & such away. Peeeeuuuu. That stuff stinks - has rotten eggs in it and some other nasties.

Looking for some truglo tfo sights.
Stopped in to talk to Ron King at KingPrecision about installing them on the 1911s.

Off to take the car for cleaning and a bike ride while it's cleaned.
Hmmm...might need to get a hunk of beef for grilling this afternoon. :)

Went down to FG&G today...Bought a Ruger Hat and speed loader for my S&W 586. Came home and got on the phone to help my father install AVG Free on his computer...That was painful. Getting ready to change the oil in my mower now. Then jump on the PS3 for some Call of Duty Black Ops II

Ruger Hat!

I was there at FG&G once.
I saw the Ruger hats but I'm had already blown my tight budget. They're nice!

Why? Just gotta keep from installing the pro stuff...

Gunny G called today and kicked my butt. (I needed it...) That was painful, LOL...
Finished final stuff on taxes for the whole family. We all owed (on purpose), so nothing gets sent until April 14...

Going to watch a movie w/ my wife later on. Don't know what, her choice, Groan...
