Just go back from the RARS Hamfest at the fairground. Great ideas for my new HF rig, beautiful but expensive equipment.
Met a few members from JARS. Now off to shoot my new shotgun. :)

...Came home and got on the phone to help my father install AVG Free on his computer...That was painful.
Why? Just gotta keep from installing the pro stuff...
You don't know my technologically challenged 74 yr old father. He had already installed the trial version for all of the pro stuff so we had to go through uninstalling and he insisted on reading me every word of every screen through the uninstall and the reinstall of the free stuff.

Sounds like my wife on her computer....

Going to Dolly Parton's Dixie stampede in Pigeon Forge. I called ahead and asked if it was a GFZ. Ditz said yes. I asked if it was on the doors. I got transferred to a supervisor who said it was, and also on my ticket. This restaurant carry thing in TN isn't all that great. Two of three dinners have been GFZ's.

Just loaded 40 more .45 ACP rounds....I have a hand press and arthritis, so I can really only do about 50 at a time before my hands start hurting.

Near the end, I seated a few of them crookedly.....glad for the bullet puller now.

Spent time with local family and had an early Easter Dinner (I have to work tomorrow)...now I'm sitting on the deck with a wineglass and a Bolivar Cofradia and the laptop....later on, I'm going to throw in my DVD of "Ben Hur" ...Down Eros...Up Mars!

Just back from the range. Fairly happy with the effort; some of the mags for the 1911 didn't lock and release cleanly, but that can be worked out. Sighted the M4 with the MagPul flip up sight, then did the red dot. I'm real happy with that cheapo StrikeMark quick release sight. Then I put the 5x magnifier on and screwed everything up. It wasn't aligned and I was adjusting the red dot instead, before realizing which one was the problem. I had only taken 80 rounds with me, so guess what? I got (GET) to go again! Maybe even next weekend, depending on what time Saturday my job interview is.
When I got home, youngest son was just about to take the meat off the grill. Timing is everything.

Well, crap.

Earlier today, while I was out spraying the yard to kill weeds & bugs, dog was out, but went in the house. Not really unusual.
Then I got changed into cycling clothes, loaded the bike up, checked on dog...she was in her usual spot, but sorta didn't act right.

I went on to get car cleaned & ride bike. Went to grocery store afterwards and then by accountant to pick up taxes & pay. Oh yea...I mean PAY.
With my Dad passing away and having stocks that were called, there were a bit of capital gains. I owe a damn crapload. :(
Will have to do estimated taxes probably from now on because of extra income.
Damn taxes.

But, to the other Oh Crap.
So, I get home and there is no dog to greet me. I bring the groceries in and there is still no dog.
Put groceries away and check on her. She is on the bed but won't jump off. Unusual.
I get her down but she's walking funny. Gimpy.
Won't put any weight on to left leg. :(

I just about know for sure what the problem is...same thing I had to get fixed in 2011 - luxating patella.
So, I've given her some metacam and she's just resting on the doggeh bed.
Maybe it will pop back in and I have no idea how to do that even if that is what is wrong.
Guess it will be a vet visit on Monday.

So, after all of that, this is what else I'm doing:
Sweet tater, filet of beef, and a Sweetwater 420.
Oh and there is a salad in fridge not shown..

Met a friend over at Charlotte Rifle and Pistol to do some skeet and trap shooting.
It wasn't too bad when we got there, but shortly after we got up for out turn, the crowds started showing up.
We got 2 rounds each on the trap range, then there were people lined up waiting, and the were waiting 2 and 3 deep on the 5 stand trap, so we left.
Came home, did a rack of ribs on the grill, had a couple veggies on the side and a Michelob Ultra Amber.
Life is good sometimes.

I thought I might save half of the filet for tomorrow's breakfast or lunch, but...well, it was just too damn good!
There is half a sweet tater & some salad left.

LOL...that looks like a huge honkin' sweet tater & tiny steak!

Brought Mom chicken parma, lasagna and baked spaghetti for an early Easter meal together. Will spend all day tomorrow trying to burn it off. LOL
But it was so good, it could make your tongue knock you teeth out, folks with dentures dont stand a chance.

30 minutes on the bike will only burn off the sauce. Will not begin to offset what the sauce was covering... sigh

Just put your thumb under the knee cap and pop it back into place.
BTW, We had one dog , both knees fixed in 2011 up in Cary.

Yea...she gives me that "if you touch my leg/knee one more time I'm gonna bite you" look.

Her right one was fixed by Dr Clark over in Cary.

We have two toys. 50% of toys have the knee problem and 50% of those have it in both knees. So we have one good toy and one really bad one. She had both knees repaired at the same time.
IIRC, Dr Clark left and started a pratice in Wilmington just before we were there. Cindy Eward worked on our dog.

Son's fiancee came up and we headed for Petersburg, VA early this morning where my Marine son is in school. Got him and headed up to the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico. Traffic up I-95 SUCKED! 70 mph zone and we were going 25-45 and stop-and-go all the way. Bumper to bumper for a hundred miles. But, got there, had a good time and went to Olive Garden for dinner over in Dale City. Then drive back to Petersburg, drop the kid off at his barracks and book it on home. 13 hours and 500 miles, but worth it to spend some time with my son. Tomorrow have to usher at church for the Easter service. That's always fun since the place will be packed with the members who only show on Easter and Christmas, along with family and visitors who come home for Easter. Gonna need a BIG shoehorn to squeeze everybody in the pews. We do NOT invite the fire marshal to Easter or Christmas eve services!
