Show me how it's unsafe to stand at the rail with 4 shells while I shoot 4 clays and I'll do it differently.
NO!! You keep going just like you are and let the chips fall where they may. Your ignorance will eventually catch up with you and only then will anything change.
P.S. Fuck the speed limits while your at it..... and traffic lights are only for suckers and fools, screw 'em all!!

Can you explain to me why it's unsafe? Saying "That's the rule" is not a reason. Anybody can just make a rule, that makes no sense. Kind of like when you parents used to say "because I said so". That's not a reason. Show me the reason for the 'rule' and maybe I'll change my mind.

Larry, first of all, I assure you that there is no hostility intended in this post. I don't know you and you don't know me. Hopefully that can change some day when I am able to make it to one of the shooting day invites. That said, I have worked as RSO for a public range. When I go to the range where I hold a membership, if I'm not the only one there I am generally considered the range nazi. Your posts generally exhibit common sense, but you wouldn't believe the number of morons that go to public ranges and do the most absolutely stupid shit. The range is likely adhering to guidelines established by the NSSF, or another range organization. I can tell you from personal experience that the rules most ranges post have a very real reason behind them. Those rules don't make sense to some of us, because we would never "do that" (whatever the reason is). We need to remember that it's not always about us, it's the other guy that we need to worry about. And finally, and again I mean no disrespect to you, but I subscribe to the credo "My house, My rules". In other words, if we are on someone else's private property, they get to make the rules, and we have to abide by them or we get to leave.

How far away are you? Most of my members are 4hrs plus away. They have 7 days a week access and make a day of it. But I get it. I travel 8-12 hrs away to hunt now due to all the farms being sold to developers
I used to hunt in a club about 11 miles from Frontline; we used dogs, CBs, and 4-wd trucks. Good fun.

Map of ranges, note that it may not include all ranges or be accurate (we don't know who manages it)
I'm a member of the Foothills shooting range in Shelby. Rifle, pistol and bow. It's a great place and very reasonable pricing. Discount to veterans and police

No, just somebody that can't be trusted to follow the rules without adult supervision. Not something to brag about...
I could write a novel on some of the stupid stuff people do with guns. People wonder why I have the rules in place that we have. To keep everyone safe. If I have to explain myself, we probably aren't the facility for them. Because I said so does come in play..

Couldn't agree more. Been there, done that and training stops immediately and they're sent home with no refund if they do stupid stuff with a firearm (sweeping people's bodies and feet with barrel, failure to maintain their firearm using the most basic maintenance practices, reloaded ammo blowing up guns, squib loads and they continue to fire, and too many more to name here).

I put up brand new 6' shade extensions on the the 100yd and 500yd range and pistol range a few months ago. Already got holes in them on the pistol and 100yd range. Those angles and that's how bullets leave properties. Totally inexcusable.
