Before Mrs CookieCutter, there was a (very beautiful) Russian that taught me a bit ... That was a long time ago ... but I still remember some of the basics: Where's the bank ... some romantic expressions, etc. ... and can still sound out the words well enough to make sense of many ... it is one language that I am decidedly NOT conversational in ... but it does help decipher some of the ammo crates I have

What is the small gun making up the “P”? It looks like an LCP, but I don’t think that’s it.

 

First was thinking wooden stock rifle was a Rem 788 but this one has a flush floorplate. Can't define the cocking piece.

I was waiting for you to have a crack at IDing it. It's a Remington 722, this one happens to be in .243.

I *think* Dad bought it used in the early to mid 1960s.

 

Take the 6mm Lee Navy and neck it down to .224 and you get the .220 Swift IIRC.

I looked it up the 6mm LN is pretty impressive. I wish I had an ammo factory I'd make suff like that.

I was carrying a DeWalt drill back to my office from the shop in the factory the other day and I noticed exactly that I wondered how many others noticed, but realized that probably zero of the 30 people I passed would have made the connection ...
