I guess my inner nerd has also been awakened because I'm completely geeking out after last night's release of the last trailer for this movie. For any child of the seventies how can you not be excited about this new trilogy? I think they learned their lesson after the prequel trilogy and this new one feels more like the original. I have not purchased tickets and I will not be there opening night (too many people) but I can't wait to see this one. Ok, I've embarrassed myself enough. Geek off.

I saw the first one in 77 when I was 5. I think I saw it about 12 times. I am at least as excited about this as you are lol. As an aside, if you have a console, Star Wars Battlefront is amazing.
Thanks. I was thinking about purchasing that for the 7 year old (and myself) for PS4.

After the disappointment of the prequels, I'm waiting to see the movie until I find out if it sucks or not. And I'm fully expecting it to suck. Not to mention, every other J.J. Abrams movie has been total crap visually (why are there lens flares everywhere?! And why is this a desirable effect that was added in post?!), and I expect more of the same. I'm expecting some crap like the new Star Trek movies mixed with the Star Wars prequels. I could very well be wrong, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

If it turns out not to be total crap, I probably still won't watch it in the theater though... very few if any movies are worth paying $30+ for just tickets.
