So,...........It's a great day in paradise where every day is a holiday and, every meal's a feast :D

This morning, I slept in after 4am which is unusual for me.

I saw on the news Dianne Warwick was down to her last 1000 and owed 10million in taxes.
I remember when she did a charity appearance back in the day and charged the charity twice what they brought in for the appearance.

Do I feel sorry for her not being able to live like an elite any longer? NO

It was brought to my attention that she was Whitney Houstons aunt.
Now I really don't follow the Hollywood scene but what crossed my mind was this.

Well Whitney is not going to have to ever worry about this problem. She's dead. No problems.

I have been behind on my work. Car, the only one left running at the moment is leaking at the water pump now. The fuel door wouldn't open "switch" and I had to cut through the trunk liner to get to the actuater to open it.
I could go on and on whining about all the problems I have but I won't.

I have embraced them. They let me know I am still alive. If I have problems it's good. When I don't have problems any longer, I'll be dead.
What doesn't kill me makes me stronger. Marines been saying that long before the song.
Any day above ground is a good day

So, I say to you, these minor life issues are a blessing. When you go and deploy to a hostile foreign land, it's the small things that we take for granted that you miss.
Oh yea, my riding mower is broke now too. oh, joy, ughhh. another blessing :hilarious:

So, I thought well, I have been swapping sights and optics around. I need to zero the TR21R Trijicon and rezero the Matech flip up BUIS.

I went out when the sun rose. I shot and made adjustments to the iron sights until my quarter sized groups were in the center. It was fun. As long as I've been shooting, I was tickled.
Then I did the same with the old TR21r that I had got from FrontLine Defense some time ago.
That sight is sweet! I was thinking "On a Wednesday cold March morn, could a man have more fun than this?!!!:)

So, I decided I needed to run a couple mags through my Glock for practice. It's been awhile.

I moved way on up to the 15 yard line.
I shot some Mags through my RIA 1911, rapid action drills from not looking to look and draw.

I had a new Ruger SR1911 Magazine that performed flawlessly. The ACT-MAG that came with the gun kept hanging on chambering the last round. I hate issues but at least I know it's the Magazine.

Then I shot the Glock and it performed flawlessly as expected! The G23 is awesome and is usually my carry pistol.

I then shot a Smith and Wesson Stainless 65-4 that I picked up cheap at an out of the way little gun shop.
This was the first chance I've had to shoot this one. Ooooooo, It is so sweet and i was tickled with happiness. I didn't want to stop shooting but I went through a box of ammo so I knew it was time to wrap it up.
Most of my shots were on target and none were off the pizza box.

So, what are guys up to today?

The GLOCK now has TruGlo TFO night sights not shown, which I absolutely love!!!

Been up since 2300 last night with ice packs on and off my feet, then off to work at 0700. No complaints, living vicariously though you for the last 5 minutes as I read with envy your ability to just go outside and shoot. I so need to zero my Savage .223 and Ruger American .270 now that the scopes are on. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to put a few rounds through t the Colt too. Maybe Friday Semper Fi Gunny

Edit: Cause Im at work I cant even see the pics!

Well first off I had to vacuum the living room and dust for my wife yeah not as fun as your day oh well it makes mama happy.
Now its a few loads of laundry and reloading some 45 acp plus sitting around dry firing the SR45 trying to break the trigger in.
All in all not a bad day I have been sick for 3 weeks but starting to feel better now getting my strength back so as soon as the weather gets warmer it will be time to pattern the turkey gun and get the rods ready for April. That sure is a pretty RIA :D

Gunny I stand corrected. I actually do not have a job I have a title, fortunatly it pays like a job so sometimes I get confused in my old age.

man.. I wish I could be shooting right now. Instead I'm sitting at my work desk staring at 3 computer monitors. At least I will be out playing disc golf with co-workers @ Cedar Rock Park after work.
I'll be out shooting this weekend. I can't wait!!

I was planning on reloading 200 .45 ACP rounds today, but I have been sick for the last few days and today seems to be the worst day. It's an orange juice, toast and Netflix kinda day today.

I felt so rotten this morning I put a plea on Facebook for someone to bring me some orange juice.

A buddy of mine (and member here) delivered a carton of orange juice. I definitely owe him one.

Well, let's see, I went to the gym yesterday so I take the next day off from the gym.
My wife has the noro virus which is a very bad g.i. type virus that lasts 5-7 days so I went out and picked up a prescription for her along with jello, yogurt, ginger ale, gatorade, and some Italian ice.
For me I am just trying to stay as far as I can from her while she is sick. I am washing my hands a lot, using hand santizer, and have staked out one bathroom that she is forbidden to enter.
This afternoon, I may take a walk, and start checking expiration dates on my back up food supplies.
That is about it for today.

Gunny, that is one sharp looking Smith.

Not much here today. Did physical therapy therapy this morning. Went to WalMart and scored 200 rds. of .223. Going out in a little while and grab lunch then head over to Ed's and see about a new rifle. Wife wants to go to the antique shops in Cameron so I think my afternoon is going to be full...lol

Walking the roof about to freeze with the wind a blowing up my skirt, so to speak. Fine in the sun, not so much in the shade. Listening to radio in between phone calls. Not bad and collecting a check. Things could be worse, last year this time was unemployed and wondering if I would have to burn the furniture to stay warm.
Edgybob, good luck with mama bear.

Back to the grindstone.

Well, I've been up since 4:30am. Dropped the doggeh off at doggeh daycare (yes you read that correctly), came into work. Finished up 2 permit drawing packages and sent the pdf files to appropriate parties.

Working on completing the drainage plans for the MM7 project up in Haywood County.

Went to the gym and swam 1800yd. 45min bike ride & 15min run after work.
Back at work snarfing down some food!

Now, just living vicariously through Gunny G.

Tomorrow will be half day of work, racin' go-karts with the guys from work at lunch, visiting Paul's place in afternoon and maybe I can shoot somewhere tomorrow. Or not cause I need to get the car cleaned and one of my bikes worked on...

Started the day with my dentist before coming in to "work". Here in Pax shed 3 at Pope field (out of the shade of the flag pole), browsing the 'net. Ordered a couple of pocket knives before signing on here. Looking forward to Saturday: decent weather and I'm off to PSR37.

I feel so much better now that Wolfpack has finished exercising for the moment. I was getting tired.:D

Since I was in the hospital last week I can't get my sleep back on schedule. Awake at 3:30, roll and tumble to 5:30, get up and microwave yesterday's coffee, take meds and get on the forums. Lie back down at 0730and sleep to 0900, get up and speak to the wife, lie back down and sleep to 1000, get up and clean up pursuant to going to hospital to exchange books with staff member, go give blood at lab to check coumadin level. Come home to a fried ham and guacamole and egg sandwich, watch some Border Wars and now here I am.

Same thing I do everynight (my night, your day) I sit here drinking coffee waiting for something to happen. I did get to put 16 rds down range (coundn't keep them on the pizza box) but when you shooting big guns (155mm) it dont matter. Looking forward to chow, midnight chow that is. Night shift is the best, most of the brass has left for the day. Other then that just another day in the stan...
