So,...........It's a great day in paradise where every day is a holiday and, every meal's a feast :D

This morning, I slept in after 4am which is unusual for me.

I saw on the news Dianne Warwick was down to her last 1000 and owed 10million in taxes.
I remember when she did a charity appearance back in the day and charged the charity twice what they brought in for the appearance.

Do I feel sorry for her not being able to live like an elite any longer? NO

It was brought to my attention that she was Whitney Houstons aunt.
Now I really don't follow the Hollywood scene but what crossed my mind was this.

Well Whitney is not going to have to ever worry about this problem. She's dead. No problems.

I have been behind on my work. Car, the only one left running at the moment is leaking at the water pump now. The fuel door wouldn't open "switch" and I had to cut through the trunk liner to get to the actuater to open it.
I could go on and on whining about all the problems I have but I won't.

I have embraced them. They let me know I am still alive. If I have problems it's good. When I don't have problems any longer, I'll be dead.
What doesn't kill me makes me stronger. Marines been saying that long before the song.
Any day above ground is a good day

So, I say to you, these minor life issues are a blessing. When you go and deploy to a hostile foreign land, it's the small things that we take for granted that you miss.
Oh yea, my riding mower is broke now too. oh, joy, ughhh. another blessing :hilarious:

So, I thought well, I have been swapping sights and optics around. I need to zero the TR21R Trijicon and rezero the Matech flip up BUIS.

I went out when the sun rose. I shot and made adjustments to the iron sights until my quarter sized groups were in the center. It was fun. As long as I've been shooting, I was tickled.
Then I did the same with the old TR21r that I had got from FrontLine Defense some time ago.
That sight is sweet! I was thinking "On a Wednesday cold March morn, could a man have more fun than this?!!!:)

So, I decided I needed to run a couple mags through my Glock for practice. It's been awhile.

I moved way on up to the 15 yard line.
I shot some Mags through my RIA 1911, rapid action drills from not looking to look and draw.

I had a new Ruger SR1911 Magazine that performed flawlessly. The ACT-MAG that came with the gun kept hanging on chambering the last round. I hate issues but at least I know it's the Magazine.

Then I shot the Glock and it performed flawlessly as expected! The G23 is awesome and is usually my carry pistol.

I then shot a Smith and Wesson Stainless 65-4 that I picked up cheap at an out of the way little gun shop.
This was the first chance I've had to shoot this one. Ooooooo, It is so sweet and i was tickled with happiness. I didn't want to stop shooting but I went through a box of ammo so I knew it was time to wrap it up.
Most of my shots were on target and none were off the pizza box.

So, what are guys up to today?

The GLOCK now has TruGlo TFO night sights not shown, which I absolutely love!!!

Been working all day. Woke up at a decent time (06:40... started developing a nasty habit the last week or 2 of hitting the snooze button again at 06:40 (after hitting it at 05:45, 05:54, 06:03, 06:12, 06:20, and 06:30), emitting a few choice words and scary noises, and rolling back up in the blankets until 06:45 or 06:50, which completely screws my morning routine). My back/shoulder/neck is almost totally better. Replaced a part for a phone, got in the monitors we were waiting on, got one of the new people set up on their computer, set up the loaner for the other new person, upgraded someone's copy of Office to shut them up-- er, so Word would quit crashing. On top of the usual "something's wrong, this thing is locked up! Fix it!" "What statio--" "Oh, there it goes! Thank you!" *click* <grumble> Patience, grasshopper </grumble> ; reading log summaries from the servers; etc.

Been a busy day, I haven't even touched a line of code yet. That'll be after break time. Assuming I don't have to put out a fire in the warehouse, or go hold someone's hand, or try to figure out how a mail loop magically got started (yesterday's fun mystery).

And yeah, a nap sounds bloody good right now.

Oh, forgot fixing the 'slow email' that was because Outlook was in offline mode.

Today at 12 noon I managed to get a $150,000 robot stick in a sewer pipe. The county we are working for wants us to be off the street at 3 it is past 3 now and we are still stuck. So Im wondering if we are going to dig it out or chance destroying the damn thing trying to pull it out with a truck. My boss mans idea. Anyway I'm the operator so its all on my head. It is what it is I can take the ass chewing. I might quit get me an Obama phone and live off uncle Sam. Lol

Getting over a cold. Working on a 1400 word history paper, a book review, a presentation for biology, and a test for mathematics. Pain is weakness leaving the body right? No complaints.

Looking forward to Saturday, taking the wife out to practice before she (we) take our CC class next month. we were going to try for OSP on the 30th, but she needs a tad bit more practice.

Good luck Ox^^^^

Took care of the dogs. Started rebuild on 1911, wife called me at shop...washing machine won't drain. Put every thing away go up to house ck washer found pump not pumping. Drain washer and remove pump tear down and find impeller stripped. Go to repair store no pump in stock. Order new pump. Meet up with Surveyor and trade ammo. Took wife to dinner, hot dogs, fritos, and cheerwine at Old Country Store :) Back to kennel to take care of dogs and maybe work a little more on the 1911. Life is hard :)

I was planning on reloading 200 .45 ACP rounds today, but I have been sick for the last few days and today seems to be the worst day. It's an orange juice, toast and Netflix kinda day today.

I felt so rotten this morning I put a plea on Facebook for someone to bring me some orange juice.

A buddy of mine (and member here) delivered a carton of orange juice. I definitely owe him one.
I hope you start feelin better soon August, Bobs wife also.

Spiff, thanks for the reminder, I hate doin taxes. Gotta get em done.

Redwolf, Stay safe over there Brother! Chow hall, all you can eat! :)

Fell asleep after turning off my alarm so I missed my first class, still had 6 hours of classes (one 3 hour class), typed a 3 page paper in the 30 minutes between two classes (known to some people as lunch break), got home a little while ago and heading to church in a few. Been a busy day, but tomorrow is the easy one (only one class).

Well yesterday I was working on the lights for the new helicopter pad at the hospital, when the chopper decides to land. They apologized for dropping on me so I told the cute EMT lady that she'd hafta give me a ride. She says 'I think that can be arranged' and winks at me. I was talkin about a helicopter ride but hey I'm open to offers.
Today I was working at Ohlins USA (awesome racing suspension) and the Andretti Indy Car/Go Daddy racing team pulls up in their semi. As they wheeled the car off the truck I told my partner hey man you gotta see this thing. I asked if I could sport a lap around the parkin' lot and they just kinda looked at me. :dunno:

Attacking the horrid stack of paperwork I have been putting off since October.
Trying to remember what, exactly, I did in October.
Sending nasty emails to Switzerland asking where my parts are.
Being reminded that when the Swiss guys get uppity they reply in French not their normal Germenglish
Getting reminded just how bad google translator is with technical documents.
Trying to explain to a customer why their upgrade is six months behind schedule, and we still don't have an install date yet.
Read some gunforums.
Realize I still have very little to offer to most of the topics.
Do more paperwork while watching a documentary on the London subway system.
Get an email stating that I had done most of the paperwork wrong.
Mutter to myself while trying to decide what is for dinner.
Read NCGO, reply to post by Gunny G.
